About Proximus

The Proximus Group is a digital services and communication provider in Belgium. The company counts more than 14.000 employees. Most of them work in the Proximus Towers in Brussels or on the regional sites (Antwerp, Liège...). Proximus has had a mobility policy in place for a long time but in the past years, it became hard to maintain and to adapt in line with the increasing need for flexibility. In 2021, Proximus decided to reinvent mobility and launched a brand new, sustainable and multimodal mobility plan for all employees. The mobility budget encompasses a variety of mobility options and gives each employee the flexibility to select the most suited combination. Amongst them, parking became a flexible option employee could opt for.

Parking challenges

  • Adapt to the flex office: the office building had to adapt to the new work trends including flex office and working from home, which directly impacted parking usage.
  • Multi-site management: the main office of Proximus are at the Proximus Towers but many employees work also on the regional sites (Antwerp, Liège etc...)
  • View on availibility: the employees needed to have a better view on the availability of parking spots. The aim was to allow them to focus on delivering their work, rather than thinking about practicalities when coming to work.
  • Simplify parking access: Proximus wanted to give several access methods to their employees, to avoid a complex badge system.
