Modernising parking management to support hybrid work
The previous management system only counted the number of vehicles entering the car park, with a barrier lowering when it reached capacity. APG lacked the data and features needed to build a parking policy adapted to new ways of working:
- No visibility over occupancy rates by day and by site, making it impossible to fine-tune the parking policy
- Uncertainty for employees: no way of knowing whether a space was available before leaving home
- No multi-profile management: no differentiated user levels to support a flexible access policy
- Underused spaces: with remote working, many spots remained empty with no redistribution mechanism in place
- No no-show filtering to optimise actual parking occupancy

A digital platform for multi-site and multi-profile management
APG chose Izix to address these challenges, building on a positive first experience at an existing site. The solution was rolled out progressively across 5 additional car parks, site by site, to help employees adapt to the change. With Izix, APG can now:
- Provide real-time visibility on space availability before employees even leave home
- Create differentiated access rights to tailor the parking policy to each user profile
- Manage multiple sites from a single platform, with specific rules applicable per location
- Filter no-shows to maximise occupancy rates and redistribute freed-up spaces
- Manage progressive onboarding of new user categories, at the pace of adoption

More employees per space, and a clearer experience
Thanks to Izix, APG can now accommodate more employees within the same number of spaces. Reservations give employees certainty before they leave home, while managers finally have concrete data to refine their parking policy. All departments across the organisation have benefited equally from this transformation.
